Two-day consumer show attracts 60,000 visitors.

NEW YORK (BRAIN) — Exhibitor registration is open for the the Bike Expo New York, which claims to be the larget consumer bike show in the U.S. The two-day show, April 29-30, is expected to attract 60,000 cyclists.

New Belgium Brewing event series has raised more than $4 million in 16 years.

FORT COLLINS, Colo. (BRAIN) — New Belgium Brewing's Tour de Fat, a series of fun bike-and-beer events held around the country, raised nearly $650,000 for bike non-profits this year, bringing its total contribution over 16 years to more than $4 million.

NOVATO, Calif. (BRAIN) — Retired pro Jens Voigt will host his own gran fondo event in Marin County in October this year.

The Jensie Gran Fondo of Marin will start at the Stafford Lakes Bike Park on Saturday Oct. 10. It will include ride options of 45, 70 and 100 miles.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (BRAIN) — The second annual Santa Monica Bicycle Expo will be held once again at the landmark Santa Monica Pier, on Oct. 10-11. This year the event, which offers free admission, will include a 15-mile non-competitive bike ride.

BERLIN (BRAIN) — Organizers of the Berliner Fahrradschau show, one of the largest European consumer bike shows, announced that the 2016 edition will be held March 18-20.

The event is being held at the Station-Berlin.

DURANGO, Colo. (BRAIN) — Several more mountain bike race legends from the 1990s are expected to participate in Todd and Ned's Durango Dirt Fondo, an event being held this September to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first UCI mountain bike world championships, held in Durango in 1990.
