Bicycle Tourism Conference cancels 2022 and 2023 events

Published March 1, 2022

TUCSON, Ariz. (BRAIN) — The Bicycle Tourism Network's board has decided to cancel its planned 2022 and 2023 Bicycle Tourism Conference events and to "postpone indefinitely" holding any future conferences.

"The last two years have brought unprecedented challenges to all of us both personally and professionally and our organization is no exception," the group's president, Andy Hanshaw, said in an announcement this week.

The group said its current financial situation, which resulted from not being able to hold conferences for the last two years due to COVID-19, prevented it from planning a future event.

"We also know how much all of us are doing to rebuild and grow our own events to be successful and felt that we needed to allow for the time for that to happen before considering another conference," the announcement said.
