VIENNA (BRAIN) — Privately held kids bike manufacturer woom reported its best financial year ever in 2025, with revenue increasing 27% and has now sold more than two million bikes since beginning in 2013.
According to a woom news release, revenue last year was 149 million euros ($175.9 million) with 390,000 bikes sold. The company surpassed its 2024 revenue by September. During the year, woom launched the WOW self-balancing bike, READY helmet, EXPLORE e-bike, and expanded the GO model range.
New products unveiled this year will focus on children's e-mobility, and an extended range of accessories.
"2025 was an exceptional year for woom, and that's all down to our innovative products and highly motivated team," CEO Bernd Hake said. "We've sparked a joy of riding in more children than ever before. This level of dynamic growth despite the challenging market conditions is the result of our team demonstrating unwavering commitment and families all around the world putting their trust in us. We're helping children enjoy their first-ever moments on two wheels with innovations like the woom WOW. We're so proud of what we've achieved so far and yet we're fully focused on the future and our mission to keep redefining mobility for the next generation."
While Germany, Austria and Switzerland continue to provide a strong foundation with a growth rate of 41%, according to woom, revenue is up in Northern Europe (101%), the UK (120%) and in the Benelux region (+17%).
A new leadership team has been established in the U.S. “to strategically target” that market, according to woom. The brand did not say in its news release if the U.S. sales market also grew and did not reply to requests by BRAIN for clarification.
Woom also expanded into new sales channels in addition to bike retailers. Bikes are now available in more than 80 specialist baby shops and in some department stores.
