Teacher Racing to Build School

Published December 18, 2007

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (BRAIN)—Middle School teacher and Tamalpais High School mountain bike team coach Herb Bool is racing for a very worthy cause.

He's going to be racing his Trek 69er single speed in the "solo" class at the Kona 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo on Feb 16. He's using the race as a platform to raise $50,000, with the hope of building a school in Pakistan through the Central Asia Institute.

"We are fortunate people and I personally would like to join the effort to help those who are less fortunate through the power of education," Bool said.
