Volkswagen is the latest non-endemic to introduce an electric bike—well kind of. The Volkswagen Bik.e can travel up to 12.5 miles on a single charge at speeds of up to 12.5 mph. But the thing that jumps right out at you is the lack of pedals or exposed gears, so it's actually closer in functionally to a scooter. Rumors have it that Bik.e might actually see commercialized production. Stay tuned.
