Published October 2, 2012

AUSTIN, TX (BRAIN) — Tern, which provided share bikes at the South by Southwest Interactive conference in Austin last spring, will do the same at a related event this month, the SXSW Eco conference.

The Eco conference is Wednesday through Friday at the AT&T Conference Center in Austin. The conference will explore challenges facing the economy, the environment and civil society.

"We're thrilled to be back to help attendees `practice what they preach' in terms of sustainability and environmental best-practices," said Andrew McCalla, Tern's project manager and Austin resident.

Rental includes 24-hour use of a Tern Link D8 bike, a helmet and a lock, as well as mobile assistance by Guerilla Cyclewerx, if needed. Bikes can be reserved online in advance from or at the rental booth located at the intersection of Whitis Avenue and West 20th Street.

The booth will also serve as a demo station for the Link D8 and other products from Tern and cycling accessories brand, Biologic.
