SANTA FE, N.M. (BRAIN) — Bicycle Technologies International is now the exclusive U.S. importer and distributor for carbon forks from Italian manufacturer Columbus Tubing.
The Santa Fe-based distributor announced the agreement with Columbus Tubing as it steps away from its role as exclusive distributor for Cinelli bikes and frames. Cinelli and Columbus Tubing are each divisions of Gruppo S.r.l. BTI is continuing to distribute Cinelli parts and accessories, continuing to sell tape, bars, stems, saddles and the rest of the Cinelli line. Cyclone is taking over distribution of Cinelli frames and bikes.
BTI is currently stocking 12 Columbus fork models, with new additions arriving next spring. The Columbus line includes a variety of 700c forks, for touring, road and cyclocross, including thru-axle and basic replacement models.
"This is a great opportunity for small frame builders to access components from one of the most storied brands in the industry," said BTI purchasing manager Riley Holmes. "And for the IBD, Columbus provides an easy upgrade path for a number of staple brands."
