Scott recalls some Vanish Evo helmets because they don't meet impact standard

SALT LAKE CITY (BRAIN) — Scott USA is recalling about 1,450 Vanish Evo bike helmets because they do not meet the CPSC's impact requirements.

The relevant helmets came in three colors and were sold between July and December last year for about $200. Consumers are being told to not use the helmets and to return them to a Scott dealer for a refund of their purchase price.

The helmets have the brand name "SCOTT" printed on the left side of the outer shell on the left side.  The following serial number ranges are included in this recall: 2014-06/009359 through 2014-09/027210. The serial number is printed on a white sticker inside the back of the helmet.

No incidents or injuries have been reported.
