INDIANAPOLIS (BRAIN) — Zipp is working with the CPSC to recall some first-generation model 88 front hubs because of a concern about a retaining ring that can fail, resulting in "an ejection" of all the wheel's spokes. The relevant hubs were manufactured between 2008 and 2010.

OSAKA, Japan (BRAIN) — Shimano pocketed an extra $518.7 million last year as sales hit $2.8 billion (333.168 billion yen), with most of the increase coming from the company's cycling division.

MILWAUKEE (BRAIN) — Fyxation, best known for its urban bikes, is getting into the fat-bike market with a new model called the Blackhawk. The company also is offering Blackhawk fat-bike framesets, wheels and hubsets separately.
