MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif. (BRAIN) — The United States Forest Service has approved e-bike usage in the Mammoth Bike Park, making it one of the first bike parks on USFS land to allow e-bikes.

NEW YORK (BRAIN) — The Dutch e-bike brand VanMoof is launching a subscription program for its bikes, starting at $19 per month.

SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — Ride share company Uber has purchased Jump, which operates dockless e-bike share programs in San Francisco and Washington, D.C. Uber had announced earlier this year that its users could reserve Jump e-bikes using the Uber app in San Francisco.
NEW YORK (BRAIN) — Mayor Bill de Blasio on Tuesday announced that the city will allow use of pedal-assist e-bikes, but will continue to ban throttled e-bikes.
The state of New York does not regulate e-bikes, which remain technically illegal to use in the state, although legislation is pending in Albany.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Pedego's newest store is now open in Mexico City, becoming the e-bike company's 119th location.

LEVIS, Québec and LEXINGTON, S.C. (BRAIN) — Hawley-Lambert has reach an agreement with Promovec, a Danish e-bike brand, to distribute Promovec-made e-bikes in the U.S.

AURORA, Ontario (BRAIN) — BionX Canada, the maker of retrofit e-bike conversion kits, has entered into receivership. Grant Thornton, a business and advisory firm, has taken over management of the company and all business activity has been suspended.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (BRAIN) — Vintage Electric is offering a Jeff Clark e-bike, in association with Clark, the founder of The Titans of Maverick Surf Contest. Only 20 of the bikes will be produced.
SEATTLE — Consumer-direct e-bike brand EVELO Electric Bicycles is recruiting brick-and-mortar dealers in select markets for its new Demo Dealer Program.

DENVILLE, N.J. (BRAIN) — Voltaire Cycles Inc., the franchising arm of retailer Electric Spokes Company, has opened its first e-mobility franchise in Denville, New Jersey. The 2,700-square-foot showroom features e-bikes and electric scooters and skateboards.

LOS ANGELES (BRAIN) — Cero Bicycle, which raised about $25,000 with an Indiegogo crowdfunding campaign last year, has fulfilled those orders and is looking to establish consumer-direct and dealer sales.
IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — Starting April 1, Saris will begin distributing Bosch eBike Systems components and provide frame integration support to artisan bicycle brands in North America.
