SEATTLE, WA—Sales, deals, steep discounts—they’re a common sight in retail these days. Consumers have come to expect—and demand—lower prices for goods as stores take cuts in margins to move out aging inventory in a stale economy. And bike shops are no exception.
BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Gruppo Bici N.A. has acquired Italian bicycle brands Galmozzi and Lygie from Atala S.p.A. The company also plans a series of reproduction frameset classics under its Atala, Cicli Italia, Galmozzi, Lygie, Maino and Umberto Dei brands. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
FLETCHER, NC (BRAIN)—Cane Creek has made staffing changes within the sales and marketing department to improve communications and customer service with its customers.
GRAND JUNCTION, CO (BRAIN)—DT Swiss U.S. sales and marketing manager Kenny Roberts has decided to step down from his position in order to pursue educational goals.
