MILAN (BRAIN) — Starbucks opened its first store in Italy on Thursday, a 25,000-square-foot "experience" location that is expected to be the first of many locations in the country. And to mark the event, Milan-based Bianchi produced a special bike that will be sold exclusively at the Milan store, which is called the Starbucks Reserve Roastery.

Bianchi said the special bike was made to meet "the demands of those looking for an elegant and trendy bike, as well as those looking for a more challenging ride. More than only urban commuting, it is also a fitness bike to enjoy exploring new routes and experiences, road or off-road.

"The bike's special graphics, prepared by Bianchi's designers, is minimal and classy, featuring the distinguishing colors of the Starbucks Reserve Roastery."

As for the store, Starbucks said it showcases "the theatre of coffee roasting, brewing and mixology in the epicenter of fashion and culture." It features European-roasted coffee sourced from 30 countries, paired with freshly baked artisanal food from a local baker, Rocco Princi.

Starbucks has two other Roastery locations: one in Seattle and one in Shanghai. The Milan Roastery is in Milan's Palazzo della Poste on the Piazza Cordusio.
