BionX Signs Agreement with QBP

Published March 2, 2010

ASBESTOS, Quebec (BRAIN)—BionX took a huge step forward in its plans for U.S. growth with the signing of a vendor sales manager agreement with Quality Bicycle Products.

As part of the agreement, BionX will place a dedicated BionX vendor sales manager at QBP who will supervise the development of the brand internally and in the field. The vendor sales manager will lead the implementation of visibility and sales incentive programs with QBP accounts and VIP dealers. Planned activities include a "Demos on Demand” program in partnership with Civia, QBP’s in-house urban bike brand, an in-store demo program, POP programs, regional test centers, events, staff training, and a variety of promotional activities in print and online media.

The agreement signals QBP’s commitment to placing themselves in the forefront of e-bike business development in U.S. With the world wide reputation and recognition of the BionX aftermarket "plug and play" energy management system and the great visibility of the BionX partnership with Trek worldwide, there’s no better partner for QBP in leading the growth of this market in the U.S.

"QBP is a true market leader and we’re very pleased to have the opportunity to have been identified as a key brand and to be able to participate to their exclusive and proven VSM program. With access to their extensive and dynamic U.S. dealer network, we’re confident that we can take the lead in growing the American e-bike market," said Vincent Lamoureux, BionX global sales & marketing director.
