Bern Unlimited adds to outside rep force

Published June 27, 2016

KINGSTON, Mass. (BRAIN) — Bern Unlimited has hired industry veterans Mark Hubbell and Alan Rowland to handle sales in Northern California and Northern Nevada for its summer division.

The territory was previously serviced by long-time rep Tom Kern, who left in May to take a position with e-bike manufacturer Faraday.

Mark Hubbell has worked in the bicycle industry for over 30 years, with stints at Schwinn, Bell Sports, and Specialized, among other companies. He currently represents Shimano, Pearl iZumi, NiteRider, Bonk Breaker, Colnago, and Cleary in Northern California.

Alan Rowland has spent close to 40 years in the snow and bike industries, starting as a retail shop manager in 1978. He has held multiple positions at both Specialized and Accell North America over the years, and ran his own rep group during that time as well. He currently represents Orbea and Endura in Northern California.

"We are very excited to have such seasoned industry veterans as Alan and Mark representing Bern in the key Northern California territory" said Jeff Cavicchi, Bern's national sales manager. "The inside and outside sales experience they both bring with them, along with the ties they have to key vendors such as Shimano and Orbea, will help us both better serve existing NorCal retailers and expand our retailer footprint beyond our current dealer base."
