Bosch invites public to ride with Nelson Vails at Santa Monica e-bike expo

Published November 29, 2016

IRVINE, Calif. (BRAIN) — This Saturday Bosch eBike Systems is organizing public ride with 1984 Olympian Nelson Vails at the Santa Monica Electric Bike Expo in Southern California.

Vails will lead four scheduled rides on pedal-assist electric bikes at 10 a.m., noon, 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. at the expo test track. Expo-goers can sign up at the Bosch eBike Systems Expo booth. Visitors will also have the chance to win Vails-autographed prizes throughout the expo.

Vails' "Ride With Nelly" event series has inspired cycling veterans and newbies alike to come together and explore their cities as cycling comrades. "E-bikes are the perfect way to get more people cycling because they enable folks of different abilities to ride together, which is why I'm happy to be a part of the eBike Expo," Vails said. "We all ride the same road — the more of us riding that road together, the better for our cities' traffic, our nation's health, and our planet's climate."

Santa Monica Electric Bike Expo is free to the public and runs from Dec. 2-4 at the Santa Monica Pier parking lot, 1550 Pacific Coast Highway. More information at electricbike-expo.com/locations/santa-monica-california.
