COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Steve Johnson, president and CEO of USA Cycling, announced Tuesday that he will step down from his post next October following the 2015 UCI Road World Championships, which will be held in Richmond, Virginia. Johnson has been with USAC for more than 15 years.

DENVER (BRAIN) — The 2014 USA Pro Challenge stage in August brought $130 million in spending to its home state of Colorado, according to a study by sports research firm Sponsorship Science. The USA Pro Challenge commissioned the study.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — USA Cycling will begin using a removable dome over the 7-Eleven velodrome at the Olympic Training Center here this winter. The organization said the dome will allow year-round training at the track during the build up to the Rio Olympic Games.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — USA Cycling will conduct the first ever U.S. national championship event for fat tire bikes next year. The Fat Bike National Championships will be held in Ogden, Utah, on Valentine's Day, Feb. 14.
