SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — After a national search, the San Francisco Bicycle Coalition's has chosen Brian Wiedenmeier as the organization's next executive director. Wiedenmeier has been the group's development director for the past two years.

DETROIT (BRAIN) — Mark Allen Pierce, who owned and operated Detroit Cycle Supply, died Friday at 61.
Pierce had owned the distributor for about 30 years; but it has been in the family since it was founded by Clyde Pierce in 1907 and is still in the same building.

MADRID (BRAIN) — Rotor Bike Components has named Gin Huat Cycle Trading as its distributor in Malaysia and Singapore. Established in 1985, Gin Huat is the official distributor of cycling brands including Fuji, Intense, Fox, Maxxis, CatEye and others.

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (BRAIN) — Bamboobee is launching its second kit allowing anyone to build their own bamboo-tubed bike frame. This kit cuts the estimated time for the framebuild to about 5 hours instead of the three days required by the company's first kit.

PAAL-BERINGEN, Belgium (BRAIN) — FE Sports of Brisbane, Australia has established Ridley Australasia, the official sales, distribution and finishing partner of Ridley Bikes in Australia and New Zealand. FE Sports will both distribute and paint Ridley Bikes in Australia for the two markets.
