MILAN, Italy (BRAIN)—Oakley reported a 15-percent jump in sales in the first quarter of 2008 and saw double-digit growth in both its optics and apparel/footwear segments, according to Luxottica's first quarter earnings report released on Thursday.

Luxottica acquired Oakley last November.

WHISTLER, B.C. (BRAIN)—The Dirt Series by Rocky Mountain Bicycles, a traveling mountain bike skills instruction program, took to the road for its eighth season this month. Its first stop was in North Vancouver last weekend, April 19-20.

VICENZA, Italy (BRAIN)—Campagnolo s.r.l. has hired Tom Kattus as general manager of its subsidiary, Campagnolo North America Inc. Kattus will join the company on May 1.

Kattus takes over for Richard Storino, who left the company in January.
