WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—A bill that strengthens the reach of the governing body that oversees product safety regulations, including those for bicycles, has cleared its final hurdle.

President George W. Bush signed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008 into law last Thursday.

LAS VEGAS, NV (BRAIN)—Interbike's annual OutDoor Demo at Bootleg Canyon, Nevada, is on schedule to meet or exceed last year's event.

Currently, the OutDoor Demo has 63,500 of net-sold, square-feet of exhibit space and is continuing to grow as manufacturers submit exhibiting contracts.

BETHEL, CT (BRAIN)—Bill Keith, a 16-year veteran at Cannondale, is no longer with the company.

Keith, who began his career working as a store manager at Orange Cycle in Orlando, Florida, was Cannondale’s bicycle product manager.
